Dr. Seckler retired from NMSU in 2025 after more than 20 years of service. She continues to provide support to faculty for pre-law advising.

 

Research Interests

New Mexico state and local government, the New Mexico State Legislature, elections and election law, education law, the U.S. and N.M. Constitutions, the U.S. Supreme Court and American National Government.

 University Activities

Professor Seckler served as director of the College of Arts and Sciences’ Law and Society program. As director, she taught the LSAT prep class, organized seminars on law school and law school admissions and advised students on the law school application process.
