Biography
Dr. Williams is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science, Public Law and Administration. He specialized in civil rights and legal history. He also holds a J.D., and a B.A. in criminal justice and political science from the University of Wyoming. His research focuses on civil rights litigation in the years before Brown V. Board of Education desegregated schools in 1954. He spent the last year working to turn his dissertation into a book as a fellow at Emory University's Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry. Before that he spent two years as a postdoctoral teaching fellow in the founding documents program at the University at south Carolina. He is a native of Penrose, Colorado and a long-suffering Colorado Rockies fan.
